Life After Cancer: My Battle With Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma

For those of you who don’t know, I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in September of 2002. I woke up one Sunday morning to find that the left side of my body was completely swollen. An ambulance was called and I was rushed to the ER. An X-ray had revealed that I had a tumor in my chest, that was about the size of a grapefruit. When given the news, all I could think and say was “I don’t want to die, I don’t want to die, I don’t want to die”. Those five words continuously poured out of my mouth over and over again. Studies show that by the age of two, 50% of children in the United States are considered picky eaters by their parents. Now, I have a product to help!

As a 31-year-old mother of two and an early childhood educator, I have come across many picky eaters. I learned that many children would eat their food once it was served on a toothpick. Obviously, toothpicks are not safe to give to a young child, so, when my oldest son became one of those picky eaters at the age of 22 months, I turned to the internet for some other ideas.
