Many families welcome their Christmas elves back into their home on Thanksgiving day. The first few nights of moving your elf around the house are pretty easy but when you run out of simple spots to place him, it’s time to get creative. I’m here to give you some fun Elf On The Shelf Ideas that I used last year.

Creative Elf On The Shelf Ideas – Day Fifteen
On Day fifteen, Chippy thought it would be fun to redecorate our Christmas tree with my boys’ undies! When my boys woke up and found their undies hung all over the tree, they couldn’t stop laughing. It was a great way to start our day!
Day Sixteen
All elves love snow angels but when there isn’t any snow around, the next best thing is flour! On day sixteen, Chippy filled one of our cookie sheets with flour and made a beautiful snow angel! This was quite messy but super cute!
Day Seventeen
Snow angels are usually followed by snowmen so on the seventeenth day, Chippy built one out of toilet paper rolls. He made the eyes, a mouth, buttons, and a carrot nose out of construction paper, Our crafty elf then made his snowman’s arms out of black pipe cleaner, and used red tissue paper for a scarf. Chippy is very talented!
Day Eighteen
For those of you who don’t know, I also run a daycare. One of the little boys in our group had a little cold and unfortunately Chippy caught it. On the eighteenth day, we woke up to Chippy resting in a tissue paper bed with a little note next to him. The note explained to my boys that he wasn’t feeling well and was going to try to rest all day. We had plans to have breakfast with Santa that morning, and Chippy asked us to tell Santa he said hi.
Day Nineteen
The day of rest did Chippy well. On the nineteenth day, we woke up to Chippy swinging from our ceiling fan. He made his swing out of a rectangle piece of cardboard and some yarn.
Day Twenty
On day twenty, we found Chippy playing a game of Sesame Street Memory at our kitchen table. How fun!
Day Twenty One
The fan seemed to be a favorite spot for our elf. On the twenty first day, we found Chippy hanging upside down from one of the fan blades, while the fan spun on the lowest setting. Silly elf!
