Here in Rhode Island, we get plenty of snow every year. I personally love snow days but many parents feel differently. To help you get through the dreaded snow day, I’ve compiled a list of 13 Fun Snow Day Activities to keep your kids busy!

Snow Day Activites
Bake Cookies
Kids love baking so why not spend a snow day in the kitchen making some delicious cookies? You can find my favorite sugar cookie recipe here or bake some chocolate chip cookies using the Original Nestle Toll House recipe!
Make Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Cookies are yummy, but chocolate covered strawberries are Heavenly and make a great special treat on a snowy day! Change it up a bit by adding some other delicious toppings like shredded coconut, chopped nuts, crushed Oreos, or even sprinkles!
Make A Pizza
Instead of ordering out, have fun making a pizza together! If you don’t have pizza crust on hand, make your own! We love this whole wheat pizza crust recipe from 100 Days of Real Food! Our favorite pizza toppings are pepperoni, bacon, olives, green peppers, and onions. Yummy!
Build A Fort
Pull out the extra blankets and pillows, gather up your chairs, and build an awesome fort together! We even use our kitchen table sometimes!
Read Together

Play Board Games
Spend some family time together playing board games or cards! It’s a great way to pass the time and enjoy each other’s company! Here’s a list of our favorite board games – 10 Awesome Games For Preschoolers
Paint In The Bathtub
Grab some washable paint and head to the bathroom. Let your kids stand in the (empty) bathtub and paint on the walls! This is sure way to keep them occupied for a good long while!
Bubble Bath
Every kid loves playing in the water so if being stuck in the house is starting to make them antsy, fill up the bathtub! A mid-day bubble bath is a great way to pass some time!
Draw On The Windows
Change up coloring in coloring books by grabbing some dry erase markers and letting your kids draw on the windows! It will wipe right off, and since it’s not something they normally do, it will definitely keep them entertained for awhile!
Bring The Beach Inside
Bring in the beach chairs, picnic blankets, and beach toys. Lay a blue blanket down to be the ocean. Pack a picnic lunch, and turn your living room into the beach! Your kids will have fun using their imagination to pretend their outside playing at the beach!
Play-Doh
Play-Doh is a part of every snow day in our house! My boys just can’t get enough of it! Have fun making some special creations together!
Play Outside
Every child loves to play in the snow, and when you’re out there with them, they’ll love it even more! So bundle up and get out outside with your kids! Work together to build a snowman, or even an igloo! We just purchased a couple Sno-Brick Makers and are really looking forward to building our first igloo! And what’s more fun than a good old fashion snowball fight!? Enjoy the snow and use it to make some amazing memories with your littles!
Popcorn And A Movie
After a long day, pop some popcorn and have some quiet time watching a movie together. My boys love watching the kernels pop in our West Bend Air Crazy Hot Air Popcorn Popper. To them, that’s almost as good as the movie!
