Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday! It’s a day for family and friends to get together and enjoy each other’s company, along with some great food. But what do you do when one of your little ones is a picky eater and refusing to eat whatever you put in front of them? Try one of these Thanksgiving Snack Ideas as a way to bring some fun to the table! They’re sure to please all of your Thanksgiving guests, including the picky eaters!
Thanksgiving Snack Ideas – Fruit Turkey
To make this adorable fruit turkey, I used the following fruits:
Cut your pear in half and use that as the turkey’s body. Arrange the rest of the fruit around the body for the turkey’s feathers. I used candy eyes that I found at Michael’s Arts and Crafts store. The beak and turkey feet were made from orange peel but you could also use cheese if you wanted them to be edible. This fun Thanksgiving Snack was made complete with a flowered Pick-Ease from our Garden Pack!
Thanksgiving Snack Ideas – Cheese, Cracker, and Meat Turkey
This yummy turkey was made with the following items:
Layer the salami and pepperoni (or meats of your choice) with cheese and crackers to make your turkey’s feathers. Cut a piece of cheese into a bowling pin shape for the turkey’s body and place that in the center. Use cheese to make the beak and turkey legs. Again, I used Wilton’s candy eyes. My boys enjoyed this turkey for lunch today and absolutely loved it!
Thanksgiving Snack Ideas – Veggie Turkey
This veggie turkey was so easy to make. I used the following items:
- Red, green, and yellow peppers
Use a bed of lettuce for the turkey’s body and arrange your cut up vegetables around the lettuce to make the feathers. I used a carrot for the turkey’s head, and celery for it’s legs. A yellow pepper made his beak and a red pepper made his turkey gobble.
I’m sure all of your Thanksgiving guests, including the picky eaters, will love these fun Thanksgiving Snack Ideas! Wishing you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!
